Hotels near Roy Thomson Hall

Roy Thomson Hall is a theatre in Toronto, one of the main concert venues in the city's downtown core. It forms part of the entertainment district, the central business and entertainment area, and sits within a short walk of many downtown hotels. Audiences come for concerts and live performances, drawn by the hall's programme and by its place in the city's cultural life. The surrounding blocks are busy with theatres, restaurants and offices, and the extensive public transportation network — subway, streetcars and buses — makes the area easy to reach. The PATH, the underground pedestrian network, connects many downtown buildings, so it is possible to navigate the core without going outside; in winter especially, that is convenient for guests walking to events. Visitors often pair an evening at the hall with a meal or a walk in the surrounding downtown streets. For a Toronto visit built around a performance, the hotels near Roy Thomson Hall put you within a few minutes of the doors, which is why many guests choose this part of the city for an overnight stay. The hall's address in the entertainment district means that guests staying nearby can leave their hotel shortly before a performance and arrive on foot, and afterwards return the same way. Several hotels also sit close to Union Station and the main transit hubs, so arriving from elsewhere in the city or from the airports involves a single onward trip. Those arriving by car should note that driving is an option but traffic can be heavy, and parking is limited in the core.
