Getting there and around
Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is about 15 minutes from downtown and offers flights to major Canadian cities and some international destinations. By road, the city is about a 4-hour drive from Vancouver via the Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) and Highway 97C, and about 6 hours from Calgary via the Trans-Canada Highway. Greyhound and other bus services connect Kelowna to other cities in British Columbia and Alberta. Once in Kelowna, getting around is easiest by car, as the city is spread out. Public transit is available through BC Transit, and taxis and ride-sharing services operate in the area.
