The YukonHome/Where to stay/London/4-star hotels
4-star hotels in London
These are the 4-star hotels and serviced properties in London, Ontario that give you a pool, a restaurant, a full kitchen or simply more room — all a short drive from the city centre, with downtown addresses in some cases.
Staying in London
London is a southwestern Ontario city built where the Thames River forks, with green trails, the Grand Theatre and Museum London anchoring a downtown core, and the medical-research heritage of Banting House giving it a particular character. One property, Just For You Bed and Breakfast, lies 16.8 kilometres out on Dundas Street towards Thamesford. The mix suits different trips. Couples and short-break visitors will find the downtown hotels and the riverside property convenient for the Grand Theatre, Budweiser Gardens and Covent Garden Market. Extended-stay guests and anyone wanting self-catering will appreciate the kitchens, dishwashers and laundry facilities in the townhouse and apartment listings, while business travellers have the two downtown full-service hotels with meeting and business facilities.

Getting there and around
London is accessible by air via London International Airport, which offers scheduled flights to major Canadian hubs, and by train through VIA Rail's London station, with connections to Toronto, Windsor and Sarnia. Highway 401 runs along the southern edge of the city, linking it to Toronto and Detroit. Within London, the London Transit Commission operates bus routes across the city, and taxis and ride-sharing services are available. Many attractions are concentrated downtown, making walking feasible in the core, but a car is useful for reaching outlying areas like Springbank Park or the university.
When to go
London experiences four distinct seasons. Summer, from June to August, brings warm temperatures and outdoor festivals such as the Home County Music & Art Festival in Victoria Park. Autumn, especially September and October, offers pleasant weather and colourful foliage along the Thames River. Winter can be cold and snowy, while spring is mild and often rainy. The city's many indoor attractions, including museums and theatres, make it a year-round destination.
